The maritime centres of Maastricht, Born, Maasbracht, Heel and Belfeld between Maastricht and Venlo are controlled remotely from the new Regiocentrale Zuid control centre in Maasbracht.
Flow smoothly
The Maas Route sub-project entails expansion of the waterway to make it suitable for class Vb barges. Maritime traffic needs to be able to flow smoothly and without hindrance from locks, bridges and damming. The maritime centres of Maastricht, Born, Maasbracht, Heel and Belfeld between Maastricht and Venlo are controlled remotely from the new Regiocentrale Zuid control centre in Maasbracht.
The challenge
The installation of new systems to partially replace existing equipment requires excellent planning and coordination.
We work with our partners to find solutions. For example, in Maasbracht, we delivered an extensive system with, amongst others, 28 consoles and a total of 39 intercoms.
The results
The system controls 19 marine telephone channels and 54 existing broadcasting clusters from the connected objects. Connections have been provided to the navigation and control system, the telephone exchange, the audio-videologging system and the management system.
New are the Scada XML connections, I/O entry control and the role-based object control via XML inter-matrix with multiple traffic consoles. The controls for the windows and curtains have also been integrated into the system.
