Emergency Voice Communication Systems Luxembourg Airport

The EVCS at Luxembourg, has been successfully approved and is now fully operational. The EVCS comprises of seven working positions in the control tower.

After evaluation the MEP switchless 5.7 inch consoles have been selected. In close cooperation between MEP and Austro Control, specific requirements and configuration requests have been realized, within time and budget.

The MEP Voice Communication System uses the ED-137 standard for communication with the voice recorder system. The existing Rohde & Schwarz Series 4200 receivers are connected via E&M, but the system is prepared for switching over to ED-137 radios. ANA (Air Navigation Administration) Luxembourg is very satisfied with both the project management and the MEP system.
